PKL Group Sponsors Hygiene Excellence at ACE Ready Steady Cook with Handwash Stations
PKL Group is proud to have supported the 26th annual ACE Ready Steady Cook competition by providing high-quality handwash stations free of charge. This prestigious event, organised by the Association of Catering Excellence (ACE), took place on Thursday, 19th September in London.
The competition saw talented chefs from across the foodservice industry showcase their culinary skills in a thrilling outdoor, charcoal-based cooking format. This year’s winners, Ludvina Hatert and Josh Bathurst from Vacherin, impressed the judges with their innovative dishes, securing Vacherin’s second consecutive win.
The event featured fierce competition from top foodservice companies, including BaxterStorey, Bennett Hay, Bespoke Food Group, Blue Apple, BM Caterers, Holroyd Howe, Houston and Hawkes, Lexington, Restaurant Associates, Searcys, Thomas & Tate, and Vacherin. The judges, Ben Tish and Sabrina Gidda, had the challenging task of selecting the winners from a pool of exceptional talent.
In addition to the culinary competition, the event also supported London’s Community Kitchen, raising over £600 through a raffle. Leftover food ingredients were donated to a local food bank, ensuring that nothing went to waste.
PKL Group’s handwash stations played a crucial role in maintaining hygiene standards throughout the event, ensuring that all participants and attendees could enjoy the competition safely.
