PKL Earns Festival Supplier Awards Double Nomination For Event Rental Services
The success story continues for 5-time nominee and proud past winner of Supplier of the Year and Best Plant & Equipment Hire PKL, as their event rental services are once again recognised for premium quality, scalable solutions and versatile equipment offerings.
PKL, A Lowe Rental Company, leaders in the supply of temporary and permanent kitchens, catering equipment and cold rooms for rental, are delighted to announce it has been shorted in 2 categories at the prestigious Festival Supplier Awards once again.
This is the 4th consecutive year the company has been selected, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to consistently delivering award-winning equipment rental services that provide high-volume hospitality in some of the world’s most demanding event environments.
Now in their 11th year, the Festival Supplier Awards recognise outstanding performance across the festival and outdoor events sector, spotlighting suppliers who demonstrate operational expertise, innovation and consistency under pressure. The judging process assesses a supplier’s ability to deliver complex projects whilst maintaining flexibility, reliability and exceptional service standards.
PKL has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Plant and Equipment’ and ‘Best Supplier’ categories for its work at the headline Cirque Lumiere event at Bloomsbury Big Top, one of London’s most iconic seasonal event venues. The nominations recognise the role of PKL in delivering a scalable temporary kitchen and refrigeration rental solution capable of supporting up to 1,200 guests each evening throughout the 5½ week event.
Organised by Awesome Events, Cirque Lumiere is a once-a-year experience where guest expectations of a premium dining experience are high, and a unique menu served at scale places intense pressure on catering operations. Delivering hospitality at this complexity within a venue constructed just once a year demands kitchen infrastructure that performs to permanent standards, whilst retaining the flexibility required of a temporary installation.
PKL collaborated closely with Awesome Events to design and deliver a bespoke temporary kitchen solution, carefully planned to maximise space, optimise workflow and meet high-volume service needs night after night. All delivered on a fully managed event rental service comprised of delivery, installation, ongoing technical support, decommissioning and removal, ensuring seamless operations throughout the festive run.
The equipment solution itself included walk-in fridges and freezers for bulk storage, blast chillers for rapid cooling, and a full suite of catering equipment such as bratt pans, gas burners, combination ovens and pass-through dishwashers. Creating catering operations that enabled reliable service under pressure, allowing chefs and event teams to focus on delivering an exceptional guest experience.
